It goes without saying that the Cairngorms National Park is a magnet for hill walkers and mountain hikers, with almost unending options surrounding the village of Carrbridge. With some of the UK’s highest and most impressive mountains only a short drive – Beinn Mhor, Meall a’ Bhuachaille, and Braeriach amongst others – there are plentiful opportunities to ascend the summit for unrivalled views and an unbeatable sense of achievement. For those unable, or unwilling, to take on the challenge, many gentler routes offer a more relaxed chance to explore the countryside on foot, including forest and riverside trails, while the Carrbridge Paths offer walkers seven colour-coded routes around the village.
